Good for Goodness Sake?

The Washington Post reports that a group of atheists recently decided to begin an advertising campaign on Metrobuses in the District. The signs will read:

Why believe in a god? Just be good for goodness’ sake.

The director of the group says, “Our message is that all of us can have moral values as a natural result of who we are as a species and who we have become as a civilization.” Interesting.

I wonder if this sort of “free speech” be tolerated if a group of Christians got together and ran ads that said “Merry Christmas! Celebrate Christ’s birth!”? I’m skeptical.
